About Us M
J Hillson Limited was founded in 1969 by Michael Hillson to carry out
carpentry and joinery contracts. The business expanded quickly into
building work, and by 1973 we had considerable expertise in building,
carpentry, joinery and contract management both locally and nationally. We
trade as a single company, M J Hillson Limited, and our specialist
divisions share knowledge and resources. The
Building Division has traded extremely
successfully over the years and has built an excellent reputation for both
quality and service. The
Carpentry and Joinery
Division continues to offer an excellent service in the provision of
site-based labour. In recent years, we have developed significant skills
in the design and management of joinery packages in partnership with
suppliers of doors, windows and roofs. In
1992 the Company created a speculative development arm - Maulden
Vale Limited, which enjoys an unsurpassed reputation for quality
housebuilding. The
success of all our operations is due to our flexibility - our ability to
respond to the different demands of the varied contracts we undertake. Our
workforce operates efficiently as a team and has developed successful
working relationships and partnering agreements with both clients and
suppliers. Many
of our staff and tradesmen have been employees for upwards of 30 years.
They draw on a wealth of skills and experience to cope with changing
market situations. Since we operate an intensive training policy and are
committed to Investors in People, we believe we are equally well-placed to
deal with the new demands of the future.
